Composition
Composition is where taste shows. The same subject can look like a snapshot or a cover — the difference is where you put it.
Tools that always work
- Negative space — give the subject room to breathe; it reads as premium.
- Leading lines — guide the eye toward the subject.
- Rule of thirds — place the subject off-center for tension.
- Symmetry — center it deliberately for calm and authority.
- Framing — use foreground elements to frame the subject.
Editorial framing

When in doubt, subtract. An empty corner is often the most powerful part of the frame.
